Our Story
We are ancient orthodox family with our roots at Kottayam in the state of Kerala, the Gods Own Country. We value the Christian traditons and culture of Kerala and are proud of being part of the Indian diaspora. Kottayam is the land of 3Ls, Letters, Lakes and Latex.
The place is world renowned tourist attraction and famous for the Thazhathangady Vallam Kali(Boat race) and the Heritage Village near panaromic backwaters of Kerala.
We are branch of the ancestral Kavunkaloth Family (Thai Vazhi) hailing from Mulanthuruthy and settled in Kottayam centuries back. Our great gandfather Shri C I Varkey is the great grand child of the Kavunkaloth Family and chose the name Kadavoor as the family settled near the banks of river Meenachil ("Kadavu" in our mother tongue Malayalam means Steps into the River and "Ooru" originated from the Tamil and Pali languages meaning Place. So, Kadavu+Ooru became Kadavoor).
